Most large depeartment stores give credit cards. Large gas companies issue credit cards, too. If they use credit cards, consumers do not have to pay cash when they shop. They do not have to pay for thirty days. They are, in fact, borrowing the money for thirty days. If the credit card account is not paid in thirty days, the interest is usually high.
